Can I access Google Scholar articles from our libraries databses?

Answer

Yes! Just set up Library Link preferences in Google Scholar to access the full text articles within our databases.

To set up the preferences for the Widener Libraries, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://scholar.google.com
  2. From the top left corner bars, select Settings
  3. Click the Library Links tab
  4. Search /  Add  Widener
  5. The Open WorldCat-Library Search has been pre-selected
  6. Save changes

Once you set up your Library Link preferences, Google Scholar links to full text that is freely available online, through open access resources or to the full text from most of the library databases in our "A-Z Database List". The links to full text appear in the second column in the search result page.
